I had two appointments today, one with the plastic surgeon and the other with the anesthesiologist. At my last appt. the plastic surgeon told me surgery would be 8-9 hours and I'd be in the hospital up to a week; however, today he said that he's bringing in his wife, another plastic surgeon and his business partner, to help with the surgery to speed it up a bit, so we'll be looking at a 6ish hour surgery. He also said that I could leave as early as Friday - only 2 nights! But we'll play that by ear. I have to be able to get out of bed on my own and no longer need IV pain meds.
As ready as I am to get this done and over with, I'm starting to get a little anxious, so the anesthesiologist assured me that once I'm all hooked up Wednesday, they'll give me something to relax me. We seek your prayers for Luke and I as well as the doctors and nurses and for my parents as they have Micah with them in TN.
Luke will update my blog and/or facebook once I'm in a room on Wednesday evening.
