So when does the 'Why?' phase start?

The following conversation took place on the way to day care this morning. We have this conversation at least 10 times a day.

Micah: Mommy?
Me: Yes?
Micah: Whatcha doin'?
Me: Driving.
Micah: Mommy?
Me: Yes?
Micah: Whatcha doin'?
Me: Driving.
Micah: Mommy?
Me: Yes, baby?
Micah: Whatcha doin'?
Me: I'm still driving.
Micah: Mommy, whatcha doin'? Mommy, whatcha doin'? Mommywhatchadoin'? Mommywhatchadoin'? Mommywhatchadoin'?

It's a good thing he's cute.

  2. At least there is a logical answer to "whatcha doing,", even if it's the same one every time. The "Why"s...oh man. Sometimes it doesn't even make *sense* to ask why, and they still do it. :-P Mom's left going, "what the heck do I say in response?!"
