Another Micah story from today, this one just a few minutes ago:
When I told Micah to put down a Christmas ornament that was broken, he looked at me and kept touching it. So I punished him.
Once punishment was over, he had these sad puppy eyes and huge tears.
"Micah, it's Mommy & Daddy's job to teach you how to behave and make good choices. It's also our job to punish you when you disobey. It makes us sad when you disobey. And it makes God sad, too."
"It makes me sad when you punish me."
He'll be thanking you when he's grown that you cared enough to correct him.
