Only 2 left to go!! Woooo Hooooo!! This round of chemo has been a little better than the last set of treatments but with a whole new set of issues. If this round goes like it did two weeks ago, by Saturday I'll be in horrible pain. Every bone and joint in my body will hurt so terribly, especially my legs, feet, toes, arms, wrists, hand, fingers, back, waist and hips. I'll also have bad headaches. I'm still weak and tired, but I can feel my strength slowly coming back. In fact, this past weekend, I helped paint Micah's room and play with him when Mom and Luke were painting. It was a full day of work which I'm not used to at all anymore. It felt great, but I paid on Sunday! I couldn't move! Anyway, the pain only lasted about 3-4 days and then I had about that many days of really bad discomfort and achiness (is that a word?). I have awful hot flashes and insomnia some nights. But I have NO nausea now! Food is starting to taste better, and that is a dream come true.
Depsite it all, I'm seeing the light and the end of the tunnel where chemo is concerned. In 4 weeks, I'll be done with that, but of course, I won't recover from the chemo for several weeks. I've taken 3 of my Herceptin drips.. only 49 more to go! hehehe On Oct 15, my onc will schedule a consultation with the breast surgeon and we'll meet with him probably a week or two later. He'll most likely schedule a final MRI before surgery so that we know exactly what we're dealing with. Not sure if surgery will be scheduled before or after the supposed MRI. More details on all of this to come as I find out what will be going on.

Woohoo!! So glad you're almost done with this phase of things! Sorry to hear about the newest side effects, but I'm glad that you're not nauseous anymore. Good to hear that you are getting some of your strength back! Please post some pics of Micah's room when you get it done - and some more pics of my favorite nephew, of course!
