Last night, Luke and I submitted our home study application to begin the adoption process!! We're still on lists for embryo donation and may or may not chose that route down the line, but for now we've become very excited about adoption. We're hoping complete the interviews in the next few weeks before Christmas and my surgery and then just wait for all the processing and approval while I'm in surgery and recovering. The whole home study process shouldn't take more than 10-12 weeks, so hopefully, by the end of February we'll be approved, have our profile finished and be well own our way to being matched with our new baby!
We very excited about all the changes and things going on in our lives right now and seek your prayers as I return home, have surgery and also through this adoption process. We're new to adoption and all that comes with this journey and are well aware that it could be a rollercoaster ride. But we're pretty used to rollercoasters and know with your support and prayers, and as we seek God's guidance, all will fall into place just as He wills it.

ReplyDeleteGreat! Once you start the homestudy process you'll feel the wheels are turning. It is a roller coaster ride, and quite a long one, but well worth it! I heard about your blog from the adoption bloggers group. Good luck on your journey!
