We'd tried rice cereal a few times before, mostly for practice, and he wanted nothing to do with it. He probably wasn't developmentally ready and may not have liked the taste or texture. He started showing signs of being ready in the last week, so we decided on Saturday to give it a shot. Luke wasn't home when Mom and I gave Micah his first bites, so we both really wanted Luke not only to be home for Levi's but to feed him. As with Micah, carrots was Levi's first food. He wasn't so sure at first but eventually was really into it, and he couldn't eat fast enough.

Then on Sunday Levi's first tooth broke through!! And the second one is right behind, and I suspect it will break through today or tomorrow. I can see it pretty easily but can't yet feel it. Fortunately, teething hasn't seemed to bother him much!
