I just got home a few minutes ago from my last PT appt! I've come so far in these last two months; it's amazing really. The first time I walked in there, I was so hunched over and still had a hard time walking and my arms certainly wouldn't go over my head. I was still having daily pain and taking pain medication from time to time. Today, both arms went 170 degrees overhead, I'm walking straight and regaining strength in my arms and core. There isn't much I can't do that I couldn't do before, and as far as my left side is concerned, I can do MORE than I could do before surgery! Praise God!! My therapist and I did decide to save five visits to use after my surgery this summer, but for now, I'm finished. I'm going to continue doing the exercises she's given me to do at home.
I also saw my plastic surgeon yesterday. I didn't get a fill. My skin just isn't ready and it may never be. I'll see him again in three weeks, and if he feels that my skin will be able to stretch, we'll do another fill or two, but if not, then we're done. We're not going to push it just for the sake of wanting larger breasts. If I don't get to go bigger, then I just don't. So, we'll know something in three weeks. If I'm not able to increase the size of the right breast, then surgery will be somewhere between early June-mid July and he'll reduce the left side. If we are able to increase the right, then we'll be looking at a surgery from mid-July - mid-Aug.
Best part - until May 4, I don't have to go to Charlotte!! That's not to say we won't for some reason, but having three weeks off from driving to Charlotte for appts. will be so nice, and I'll save a fortune in gas! :)
