Micah loves the song "How He Loves Us." We have it on CD and everytime we get in the car he begs to listen to it over and over and over. I finally caught him singing it on camera today. He was being a cheesehead, so it's not the best and it's long, but I still thought it cute enough to share.
Apologies in advance for my sporadic interjections. Lyrics below video.
How He Loves Us - John Mark McMillan
Verse 1:
He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
Pre-Chorus:
And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us so
Chorus 1:
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Verse 2:
We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.
So Heaven meets Earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And my heart churns violently inside of my chest,
I don't have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way that…
Chorus 2:
He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

He is so sweet! I love hearing little ones sing. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet and I am really impressed that he knows the lyrics so well, my two can't (or won't?) do that!
