Mastering the Art of Delaying

Typical bedtime routine:

Pickup toys
Read
Clean diaper
Brush teeh
Hug & kiss Daddy
Hug & kiss Mommy
Hug & kiss Mommy
Hug & kiss Mommy
Kiss Mommy
Kiss Mommy
Hug & kiss Daddy
Prayer time that goes something like this (exactly like this tonight): Dear God, Thank you for this day......... Thank you for food. Thank you for Mommy & Daddy........ Ummm.. Ummmm..... Thank for you helping us to obey and be kind and listen and not be rude and not hit or push Chase.............. Ummmmmmmmmm..... Help us bring home brother or sister soon. Uhhhhhhh... Uhhhhhhhh..... Uhhhhhhh.... Thank you for putting on our seatbelts and turn on the air conditioner and always sing the "Oh Oh Song" (Oh How He Loves Us).......... Ummmmmm.... (insert Mommy trying to get Micah to wrap it up: "Micah....?") Thank you for loving us. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

The serial hugging and kissing and seemingly short prayer take about 10 minutes. The best kind of delaying EVER.
