Today I had my 8th Herceptin drip.... only 44 more to go! Next week I won't be going due to surgery. My hemoglobin today was low, though not as low as it has gotten, but I'm getting my 3rd and hopefully last blood transfusion tomorrow. If I didn't have surgery scheduled for Monday I probably wouldn't be getting one, but I need to be in tip top shape so that surgery isn't cancelled. I've been pretty tired but not as badly as in the past when I needed the blood. It seems like I'm almost over all the really awful pain from chemo. I only have very little pain, and when this is gone, it's GONE!!! This pain anyway.. there will be new pain come Monday I'm sure.
When I left the doc's office I went and voted! Election day is 8 days after surgery, and I know at that point I won't be allowed to drive and I may not feel like getting out even if Mom or Luke took me, so I got it over with. Since NC is looking like a swing state, I feel that my vote means more in this election that maybe it has in the past. We shall see!
