From their website:
Everything we do centers around our primary objective: how can we increase the health, education and self-sufficiency of the orphans we are helping? While the support of American and other donors is a viable short-term solution, it is only a stepping stone to future independence. From agriculture to education to clean water, we always "feed the man while teaching him to fish.” Long term sustainability is always at the forefront of our projects.Because they understand most, if not all, of these orphans will not be adopted by families in America or elsewhere, their mission is to teach the people there how to live and thrive off their land and bring them to a place of independence. They're currently working with the Royal School & Orphanage in rural Uganda, and they've helped bring in spoons and underwear, built shade houses for growing food, built an on-campus well and have constructed a sustainable latrine. Current projects include solar power, a music program and off campus well.
You can help in several ways. You can sponsor a child knowing 100% of your $30 per month donation goes directly to providing food, water, shelter and a top-tier education for a child in Uganda. You can become an Ambassador meaning that you will be assigned three unsponsored children, and it will be your responsibility to seek sponsors for them. You can also give a donation (Just $20 will provide 392 servings of posho and beans, a standard meal), start a fundraising campaign, become a partner or invest with them.
Their website has lots more information, so I encourage you to check it out, pray and see if God leads your heart to help the mission of LoveGrows.
