I should have updated last week, but between myspace, facebook, this site, cancer, Micah, work and life.. well, stuff just gets by me sometimes. :-) Last week before chemo, I saw my oncologist (as I do/will before every treatment) and my tumor is already softening!! Praise God for that!! My second treatment went fine.. it was the day we cut and shaved my head (see below). The other patients that I'm in treatment with are all really nice. I actually enjoy, for lack of a better word, going to chemo because I'm able to chat with people who are all going through the same thing. One lady in particular and I chatted for 1.5 hours last week. She apparently has a swimming pool and since Micah did so well Sunday, we might crash her pool a time or two before summer is over. Another lady, Paula, has colon and liver cancer. She's been in chemo for 5 months already and won't finish 'til the end of August. Her prognosis isn't great, but she's a fighter and so sweet!
The chemo itself has been rough on me. Fortunately I'm still able to eat though I'm sometimes nauseous and things don't always taste quite right. I get a metallic taste in my mouth a lot as well, and sometimes my tongue tingles a bit. I'm so weak and tired though. Simple things like going up the stairs just completely wears on me. I require a daily nap, which sometimes happens whem Micah naps and other times the second Luke gets home. I also have an awful cold.. I've had it for over two weeks and it doesn't seem to be getting much better. I can't stop coughing, and I've been coughing so much and so hard, that yesterday, I actually threw up twice. I'm going to ask my dr about it tomorrow when I go for this round's CBC. This is quite a challenge.. especially with a 5 month old, but we're making it. We've had lots of help from people at church, a neighbor and family, and we're so blessed to have had so much help, support and prayers!

We will keep praying daily for you! Love the new pics of Micah--he is getting big and changing again. I can't decide who he looks like now. A little Momma and a little Daddy too! :)
