An Update on Us All

Yesterday I met my mom halfway between her house and where I've been for the past 3.5 weeks. We had lunch and she took Micah back with her! It was a long day of driving for us both, but I'm so grateful that her and my dad are able and willing to keep Micah this week. It's really a load off me - not having to get care for him to go to the NICU and just being able to relax a bit when I am 'home' before the craziness of having two boys at home sets in!

But it's quiet here tonight. No Micah. No Levi. Just peace and quiet. I'm trying to enjoy it because I know the days of peace and quiet are quickly coming to an end.

As you may have seen in my previous post, Levi no longer has his feeding tube! When I was at the NICU on Friday morning, he pulled it out. At that point, he hadn't had a tube feed since 9:00 (I think... need to check) Thursday night. When I told his nurse, she said, "Well, I guess he's done with that. I won't resecure it unless he needs it again."

And he hasn't needed it again!! So he's had ALL his feeds via bottle since Thursday night!!

He did drop some weight yesterday. The doctors switched his formula today, and hopefully he won't lose anymore. If that is indeed the case, we're looking at being discharged within a few days!

Once Levi is discharged, Luke will be flying here in order to ride home with us. Then my parents will bring Micah back to NC and meet Levi.

I cannot wait to have my family of four under one roof!
